Five Principles for life...

1 Forgiven People should forgive
Don't Judge?
Don't be the moral cop, the religious neat-nick
Don't judge in a condemning
Don't take on the disposition of a police officer and a firing squad
Jesus is the JUDGE in the end
Jesus is talking about hypocritical judgement
Primarily judge christians not the non-christians
Paul in Corinthians: It is not my place to judge non-christians, I judge Christians
1 Cor 6:3 Christians judge angels so they are qualified to judge one another (keep each other in line)
Jesus makes the decision about where people go (eternal judgement): Heaven or Hell
Judge and forgive
Don't judge in a condemning way, rather judge in a forgiving way
DANGER: Judging and then not forgiving even having been forgiven by God (Hypocracy)
To forgive requires judgement

a Who do I need to forgive? Danger: bitterness
Don't cover sin, don't deny sin, don't ignore sin, don't avoid telling the cops
b How is my giving?
c What log is in my own eye?
d How is your life going? (Pride, despair, etc....OR peace, joy, patience)
e How is the fruit on your tree?
f Is my problem a truth problem or an obediance problem?
g Truth you need to learn of odedience I need to enact?

2 Getters should be Givers
God likes good stewards
Gave money to someone who you gave specific rules to distribute, if they did't do it, would you give them more?
I should ask God how much of God's resources that he has given me do I get to give to others
Resources that God provides are meant to be stewarded and given away (distrubuted)
Not Prosperity Theology
But God tends to gives more to faithful people who already follow his directives
Over flowing into your lap "enough to put into your pockets too"
3 Leaders should lead themselves
Be very careful on picking a church and friends and books and TV and Preachers
DANGER: hypocracy in my blindness and my judgementalism, Am I bling to my own blindness?
I need to deal with my junk (by the spirit) before I criticize/exhort another
Always focus on how great Jesus is not on my little accomplishments
4 Good Trees Should Produce Good Fruit
Jesus and the Holy Spirit replace the heart and grants the power to live out a life that honors God - No other religion gives this.
My mouth speaks my deepest heart condition
Cultural myth: Deep depp down we are all good people
"My mudering friend is deep down a really good guy"
Behavior modification is duck-taping oranges to any apple tree
Christianity is different from other religions b/c Jesus provides a new life enableing real change
5 Truth Plus Obedience Equals Rock Solid Foundation
Like a man who built his house on a rock
info and obedience together is what God wants
Counciling: (1) What is the problem? (2) What did God tell you to do? (3) Are you going to do it?
I should obey because God is good and he wants good for me
